Crowning Glory…

No, we’re not shooting the latest Alien film! These slightly scary-looking chaps are some of our asparagus crowns, now all safely bedded in and hopefully ready to provide delicious spears for years to come.

Otherwise it’s been just a typical busy week in the kitchen garden - work continues on the polytunnel irrigation system which will be a vital time-saver with the weather starting to warm up. Even though summer is still a way off the temperature in the tunnel hit 42.8 degrees the other day, leading to some very thirsty plants!
